WHO IS SC+W?
Serenity Courage and Wisdom, Inc. is a nonprofit based in North Carolina. Started by a cervical cancer survivor, SC+W provides information, advocacy, and awareness about HPV and cervical cancer.
Incorporated in 2011 by Keesha Carter, who happened to face stage 3 cervical cancer, SC+W began to form its wings when Keesha realized her cancer experience in 2009 was far more than a personal journey. This is when she embarked on the important mission of helping others who have and continue to walk in the same size shoes. These warriors travel through a life journey down the road of a cancer diagnosis.
OUR MISSION
Here at Serenity, Courage and Wisdom, Inc. (SC+W), we are driven to support Survivors and bring awareness to GYN Cancers through the Creative Arts. SC+W is on a mission to do its part in helping the journey for survivors all around the world to be a better experience. We strive to build productive relationships with members in the communities we serve, while making a positive impact through all of its initiatives. At SC+W we are raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about one of the most pressing issues facing today’s society - cancer.
